Process

Ten weeks, nothing hidden

The same four stages every time, so you always know what is happening and what you are approving next. Below: what each one produces, and what it asks of you.

  1. 01

    Discover

Two weeks of interviews, audits and honest questions. We map the market, the audience and the gap nobody is standing in.

    Weeks 1 to 2

    What you get

    • A written brief we have both signed off
    • Interview notes from your customers and your team
    • An audit of what your market is claiming
    • The one sentence: why the brand deserves attention

    What we need from you

    • Two hours of your time in the first week
    • Introductions to three customers
    • Whatever numbers you already have
  2. 02

    Define

Positioning, narrative and creative territory. One direction chosen deliberately, not three safe options to average out.

    Weeks 3 to 4

    What you get

    • The positioning, in a document you will actually reuse
    • Messaging: what you are for, who you are not for
    • A name, if the project needs one
    • One creative direction, with the reasoning behind it

    What we need from you

    • A decision within a week, from the person who can make it
    • Disagreement in the room rather than after the fact
  3. 03

    Forge

Identity and interface designed in parallel, in the browser early. You see it move before it is signed off.

    Weeks 5 to 9

    What you get

    • The identity system: mark, type, colour, and the rules that hold them together
    • The site, in the browser, from the first week of this stage
    • Motion principles, applied rather than described
    • A build link that updates every week

    What we need from you

    • Your content: the words and the photographs
    • Feedback in the browser within two days, not a slide deck within two weeks
  4. 04

    Launch

Rollout, handover and the first round of real-world iteration. We stay close while the market reacts.

    Week 10 onward

    What you get

    • The launch itself, on a date we set together
    • A handover your own people can work from
    • A month of adjustments as the market reacts
    • Every file and the repository, yours

    What we need from you

    • Access to your domain and hosting
    • Someone on your side who owns it afterwards

Three rules that hold the whole thing together

  1. 01

    One call a week

Thirty minutes, same day, same time. Everything else is written down, so nothing depends on remembering a conversation.

  2. 02

    One place for everything

A shared folder and a build link. No attachments, no version numbers in filenames, no asking which one is current.

  3. 03

    Decisions in writing

Every choice that changes the work is a line in a document with a date on it. When something is questioned later, the answer is there.

Tell us what you are building

We reply to every serious enquiry within two working days. If we are not the right studio for it, we will say so and point you somewhere better.
